It takes a lot to look. Or does it....?

The fresh faced, natural barely any make up look is a simple, classic sophisticated one which is easy to do and stands the test of time. You can also build on this and create so many different styles.
ᴿᴹ Base
Ensure you have a good base to work on. I like to use Cetaphil moisturising lotion before I start my make up. It hydrates my skin and makes it a good canvas to work on.
Use a light, sheer coverage foundation to get the natural look. I used the Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere Radience Perfecting Foundation in Butterscotch. This is my go to foundation; it's lightweight and is suitable for all skin types. An added bonus of this foundation is that it has some Vitamin C, which helps to enrich your skin's clarity over time.
Take some concealer to cover up spots and trouble areas on your skin. If you have flawless skin, then you can skip this step. I the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer in 3W.
To finish off the base, use some translucent powder to set everything. I use Chanel Natural Finished Pressed Powder (Translucent 2) with a small kabuki brush. I find the sponge applicator can be a bit much and you end up blotchy and cakey at the same time, far from the natural look.
ᴿᴹ Eyes
For the eyes, keep it simple. I used eyeliner and mascara. I used Benefit Bad Gal eyeliner to tight line my top and bottom lids and then used No7 Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara and put two coats of mascara on my top lashes. This makes your eyes pop and still look natural.
ᴿᴹ Lips
Finish off the look with some nude lipstick. I used vaseline at first to soften my lips and then I used Yves Saint Laurent Lipstick in Rouge Pur Courture - 66 which is a soft brownish, pinkish nude colour.
And voila! That's your natural, barely any make-up make up look and it takes hardly any time to do.
