Mondays do not have to be so daunting. Let's rejig our Monday mornings and get rid of the blues

Do you dread Monday mornings? Does the dread start the night before as you set your alarm on your phone? Do you secretly wish that the weekends lasted three days rather than the two?


Monday mornings do not have to feel so daunting. Here are some simple ways to beat those Monday morning blues...


ᴿᴹ Create an enjoyable morning routine

Your morning can set the tone for the day. Create a morning routine which you enjoy. You can put some music on and light a candle as you get ready. You can wake up earlier and get engrossed into a book you're currently reading or make yourself a delicious breakfast. However you do it, make your morning routine something that excites you.


ᴿᴹ Have something to look forward to

Make your Monday special by having something to look forward to. Maybe get yourself a coffee from a coffee shop local to you or perhaps you can schedule something fun to do after you finish work for the day.


ᴿᴹ Enjoy the morning commute

Enjoy your morning commute by listening to some good music, a podcast, the radio or an audible book. A morning commute can be incredibly boring so make use of the time and do something that you enjoy and aren't getting the time to do otherwise.


ᴿᴹ Take a scenic route into work

Change up your usual route to work and take a more scenic way in if possible. Changing up something that's so mundane can re-energise how you view your weekday morning and more so if you get to have a dose of nature on your way in.
