Bet you didn't know that there is a beach hidden within London and it's very easy to get to by car and/ or by public transport. Hop on the tube and get off at Ruislip and then walk over to bus stop B where taking the H13 will take to straight to Ruislip Lido.
The beach is very small, possibly the smallest beach that I have ever been to but it sure does pack a punch. The beach is fully equipped with a playground area for young children, restaurants, a park and a woodland area. And you can go round the entire venue by hopping onto a steam train.
Swimming is banned at the beach; but with all the other activities that are available, you don't miss not being in the sea. This is definitely one not to miss especially during the summer time. And if you have any children in your life, take them with you as they are sure to have so much fun here.
