Even though some days you might struggle with how you look, know that you're unique and special and that's what makes you beautiful...

ᴿᴹ Dress for yourself

Trends are seasonal and overrated. Dress however you want in whatever you want. You can size up or size down, go with whatever you find best suits your style and what you are most comfortable in. Dressing in your style will immediately make you feel more in control, powerful and beautiful.


ᴿᴹ Give yourself compliments

It can be very easy to fall into a trap of just focusing the parts of you that you are not happy about. Instead of doing this, look at the parts of you that you are happy about; it could be your skin, your hair, your nails, etc.. Give yourself a compliment that you genuinely believe. The more you exercise your insecurities and anxieties, the stronger those thoughts become and eventually can become your reality. So, focus your attention on the parts of you that you are happy with. And in time, the things you don't like about yourself won't be the most dominant thing you see when you look in the mirror.


ᴿᴹ Take a selfie

Take a selfie for yourself. You can post it online too if you want. But the main thing is you are doing it for yourself. Don't use filters as that can make you wish you always looked airbrushed in real life. Get dressed up, wear jewellery and strike a pose. You will look and feel beautiful instantly.


ᴿᴹ Find your niche

Sometimes it's a lot easier to be nice about someone else's appearance than it is to be nice about our own. And that's okay. We live in a time of social media; look out for your niche. See how others have styled themselves and though I think you should always dress for yourself, it's sometimes helpful to get that style-inspiration from someone who might be having the same issues as yourself. We are all different, and we have different insecurities; and finding someone similar to you with similar insecurities make you feel less alone.
