INGREDIENTS:
- 500g of paneer cubes
- 4 tbs of cornflour
- 2 onions
- 4 green finger chillis
- 1 red pepper
- 2 tbs of tomato ketchup
- 2tbs of soya sauce
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of chilli sauce (optional)
- coriander (optional)
METHOD:
- Mix the paneer and cornflour together so that all cubes are thoroughly coated
- Fry the paneer until they start to become slightly brown and then leave in a different bowl to one side
- Dice and fry the two onions in the same pan that you fried the paneer in
- When the onions start to brown, chop up and add the chillis
- Chop up the red pepper and add to the onion and chillis
- After a few minutes add in the paneer
- Add in the ketchup, soya sauce and chilli sauce and stir the mixture
- Add half cup of boiled water to the mixture. If you skip adding water, you will get a drier dish.
- Add salt (taste at this point so you get the right level of salt. I found 1 teaspoon is perfect but this is a personal choice so taste test is advised)
- Add the coriander
- Serve with naan bread, pita bread or rice.
- Enjoy warm
