ᴿᴹ Positive self talk
Start giving yourself positive pep-talks. You know yourself better than anyone; you know how far you have come, the struggles you've faced and what you have achieved. Remind yourself of your worth and don't give into your insecurities or self-doubt. Try not to feel overwhelmed or intimidated by all you want to get out of life but rather be excited by all that lies ahead of you. Take one step at a time and with every step you take, take pride in yourself, you are taking yourself one step closer to your goals.
ᴿᴹ Get rid of nay-sayers
Nay-sayers may be well-intended when they tell you that they don't think XYZ will happen for you. They probably want to set you up with some realistic expectations so you don't feel disappointed afterwards. But if you are already doubting yourself and your abilities, the last thing you need to be doing is giving any attention to your joy-killing, negative Nancy friends. Friends should be there to make you feel good about yourself and about your goals. If your friend isn’t doing that and you find yourself feeling drained by their company, then get rid of them. Life is too short to allow others to suck up your energy.
ᴿᴹ Don’t be afraid of repeating mistakes
We all hate making mistakes and at that, we hate repeating the same mistakes. But getting comfortable with making the same mistakes multiple times is okay. In fact, it is more than okay. The more mistakes you make, the more you can learn about yourself. Sometimes, it is far better to make mistakes than to stay in a stagnant point in life. Don’t let fear keep you out of the game. Use it to motivate you and make you a better version of who you are.
ᴿᴹ Share details of your life sparingly
You don’t need to share everything with everyone. Have a close group of friends and family that you can share the details of your personal life with and still be economical with how much you share. The less you share, the less drama and opinions you invite into your life.
ᴿᴹ Live your kind of life
Unfortunately, people love to give their unsolicited advice on how other people should live their lives. And while their advice may be coming from a good place, it does not help in you achieving the sort of life you want. Drown out the sound of the people and do what it is that you want to do. You only get one shot at life. So, be your true self and lead your life your way with no need to provide an explanation to anyone.
