The Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean Electric Toothbrush is by far the most expensive toothbrush that I have ever or will ever own. I was drawn to this for two reasons (1) the aesthetics and (2) the fact that it's called 'diamond clean'.
The look of this toothbrush is one of its key selling points. It comes with either a disc or a glass charger. The glass charger is the more sought after version and if you end up getting the disc version, you can always buy a separate glass charger, which will still work with your toothbrush.
The toothbrush has a good grip and is easy to use. It has five modes of clean (clean, white, sensitive, gum care and deep clean). Each of the mode has a different sound. It's not necessary for you to know which sound is associated with the different modes as you will see the mode illuminated on your toothbrush.
With regards to the aesthetics of the toothbrush, one of my favourite parts to this is the base. Often with other toothbrushes (including other electrical toothbrush), some sort of scum is formed at the bottom. I think this looks so filthy. This is not the case for this toothbrush. You will still need to clean it every now and again but it does not require much effort to do.
The Philips Sonicare toothbrush also loves to travel. It comes with a smart travel case; the toothbrush can actually be charged via the carry case. This is such a handy thing to have as it forgoes the need to pack the charger when going away for a short break.
The major con to this product is the price tag, which over time has gone down significantly. It's by far the best quality toothbrush I've ever used. I really enjoy brushing my teeth with this and unless there is some major damage to the toothbrush or it gets stolen (who the hell would want to steal someone else's toothbrush!?), I plan on keeping this one for life (with replacement brush heads of course!)
