Simple style: French plait

The French plait seems to be everyone's favourite twist on the classic braid...

A French plait, also called a French braid is a plait that starts higher up than a normal plait; it looks more intricate than a regular plait and is good go-to style especially when in between washes.

To do this, you will need to section hair horizontally so it looks like you are about to do a half up/ half down style. Start plaiting your hair and as you down the shaft of hair, take more hair into the plait.

For those who aren't sure about how to do a plait, I've got you... Firstly, spilt the hair into three sections. Let's call the sections- 1, 2 and 3 based on their positions. The numbering henceforth will always be their new position and not what the section the hair was originally.

The sequence will go as follows:

- Section 1 goes over section 2.

- Section 3 goes over section 2

- Section 1 goes over section 2.

- Section 3 goes over section 2

The sequence keeps repeating itself until there is no more hair left. To make your hair appear thicker, you can pull the plait apart ever so gently.
