In an interview, Beyoncé stated that this song can have as many meanings as a person wants to give to it. Everyone in life has struggles and has been able to survive that other people may never know anything about.

Beautiful by Christina Aguilera is a song with a powerful message. It is a reminder that despite the standards set by society, everyone is beautiful in their own way. People should not have conform to other people's standards of what is beautiful but rather embrace themselves for who they are.

Fuckin' Perfect by P!nk depicts that feeling when you don't fit in or belong and no matter what you do or say, you can never win. P!nk is a powerful artist, she does not conform to society's idea of what is beautiful. In this song, she tells people to not let anything get them down and to know that despite everything, they are indeed fucking perfect!

Lady Gaga was inspired by the 1990's music when she wrote Born This Way. This song empowers females, minority groups and the LGBTQ+ community. The song celebrates people for who they are cause God made us to be perfect in our own unique way.

Roar by Katy Perry is all about being your own hero, standing up for what you believe in and making sure your voice is being heard. Often it's so much easier to not want to upset the apple cart and just go with the status quo. Roar is an empowering song which encourages and inspires people to stand strong and speak up for what they believe in.

Rachel Platten's Fight Song was written as something for herself and she had no intention of it being released. This was written at a time when she was going through her own personal struggles and needed to reminded of her strength. This song evokes so many emotions for so many and it is a great reminder that even when you are feeling hopeless, you are more powerful than you realise and you have the inner strength, courage and wisdom to pull you through your darkest days.
